Solar Thermal Water Heating (STOL.101)
Solar Thermal Water Heating course focuses on how to install code compliant solar thermal system. This course is intended
for people who plan to work in solar hot water industry or for those who want to know more about solar water heating.
The instructor supported track is a six-week, Internet-based, online course. The other track is self based. Registered student
will be issue a Student ID a Password that will allow them to access a Moodle virtual class-room. Student will then be able to
download the class material, participate to a group discussion and upload the assignments.
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Identified different type of residential solar heating component and systems
- Design and size residential solar hot water heating systems
- Plan and installed solar collectors and components
- Uses safe working practices
- Services common solar heating problems
- Operate and maintain solar heating systems
